Robert Bernstein, Jr., M.D., FHRS, FACC, FACP
As a cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Bernstein specializes in heart rhythm abnormalities. In addition to the implantation of pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators, and biventricular devices, he performs catheter ablations for superventricular tachycardias, atrial tachycardias, ventricular tachycardias, atrial flutter, and atrial fibrillation. His research has advanced the development of devices, drugs, and ablative therapies. He is an associate professor of clinical internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Bernstein is also a testamur in the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology and a member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
