Overview:
The purpose of this conference is to educate and update attendees with the most clinically relevant information with an emphasis on recent advances in electrophysiology, heart failure, interventional cardiology, and structural heart disease. This comprehensive program includes interactive discussions and case presentations offered by experts in the field and provide an opportunity for health professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region to network and exchange ideas on patient management and clinical practice.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Discuss evidence-based management strategies for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular disease.
- Review the pathological spectrum of different cardiovascular diseases.
- Review current recommendations (ACC/AHA) for guideline directed medical therapy for patients with atrial fibrillation.
- Employ best practices to safely manage potential complications of catheter-based therapies for structural heart disease.
- Select the appropriate treatment strategy for patients with mitral valve disease or tricuspid valve disease based upon imaging findings.
